Award-winning Indie band Elbow have announced their first full UK arena tour, which comes to Liverpool in March next year.

The tour comes after the success of their Mercury Award winning album ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’ and a procession of awards including Best British Band at the BRITS, an NME award and two Ivor Novello Awards.

These will be their first live shows since a rapturous send off at the sold out Manchester MEN Arena show in September 2009. The dates include a return to the MEN and a debut performance at London’s O2 Arena.

Undoubtedly one of the country’s most beloved bands and now one of their most successful, Elbow have spent the intervening eighteen months working on the follow up to ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’ due out in early 2011. More details on the new album will follow shortly.

Tickets go on sale 9am on Friday 1st October.

Tour dates are as follows:

Tuesday 15th March - Glasgow, SECC

Wednesday 16th March - Newcastle, Metro Radio Arena

Thursday 17th March - Nottingham, Trent FM Arena

Saturday 19th March - Sheffield, Motorpoint Arena

Sunday 20th March - Liverpool, Echo Arena

Tuesday 22nd March - Birmingham, National Indoor Arena

Wednesday 23rd March - Cardiff, International Arena
