The premier Blues-Rock group, The Hamsters, will be performing the music of Jimi Hendrix on as part of their Jimi Hendrix 40th Anniversary Memorial Tour.

The Hamsters will be at Crosby Civic Hall on Saturday 18th September, a date that Jimi Hendrix fans will want to remember, as it is the actual day 40 years ago that the guitar legend passed away.

The guitar, bass and drums trio are a band in their own right, playing rootsy Rock, Blues and Americana - but they have long been regarded as the UK's leading interpreters of the music of Jimi Hendrix.

Emma Lloyd, Arts Marketing Manager said:

" This will be a special date for fans of Jimi Hendrix, and what better way to remember him, than to come along and hear the leading interpreters of his music pay their respect."

The Hamsters offer a great night out, and with a special anniversary to commemorate; this will definitely be one of their best gigs to date!

The gig will cover all of Jimi's best songs but the band will 'support' themselves by playing a short opening set of their own brand of music, then return for a full Jimi show!

Tickets for this special event on Saturday 18th September at 8pm are on sale now. Tickets are £14 (£12 concessions)
