Ian Parker, one of the worlds leading blues guitarist brings his 'Up Close and Intimate' - The Acoustic Trio show to Crosby Civic Hall this September.
Ian's characteristic guitar style and soulful vocal delivery are as apparent in this format as any other, and the show features the old favourites, as well as his latest work from the highly acclaimed Demons and Doubters EP.
The gig taking place at Crosby Civic Hall on Thursday 2nd September at 8pm features Ian's long-serving bassist, Steve Amadeo playing upright on this tour, and one of the UK's finest exponents of slide guitar, Chris Eaton.
Over the last 10 years, Ian Parker has established himself throughout Europe and even the US as one of the leading roots songwriters and performers of his generation.
He has four albums and two live DVDs under his belt and has amassed a very respectable back catalogue, and an expansive following to match.
Having predominantly toured with a four-piece band, delivering a blend of introspective rootsie rock and hi-octane blues, Ian is now concentrating on his song writing and a series of intimate concerts, that present his back catalogue and his newest material in its 'purest form'.
With these songs, Ian has made a subtle but noticeable shift of direction, and is at the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his career.
His music remains based in roots, and his signature bluesy guitar licks have not gone away, but the emphasis is now firmly on the songs
Tickets for Ian Parker's , Up Close & Intimate - The Acoustic Trio show are £10 (£8 concessions).
