Footballers WAGs Coleen Rooney and Alex Curran turn on the style in the Grand National fashion stakes in Liverpool.
The wife of Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard made her own fashion splash in a stunning designer grey minidress complete with her usual Lady GaGa inspired high shoulders.
Alex Curran, 27, was spotted in the Earl of Derby stand with pals wearing smoky black eye make-up with her hair scraped back revealing her simple diamond studded earrings.
But while Alex achieved her aim of being one of the most stylish women at the races, she had stiff competition from Coleen, who a dazzling floaty dress for the day.
Wayne's misses arrived in a radiant soft pink chiffon number with Christian Louboutin heels, bringing along her son baby Kai Wayne to watch the races for the first time.
New mum Coleen accessorised her look with a pale pink clutch bag and open-toed heels, teamed with dangly gold earrings and a bouffant pony-tail.
She said: "This event is the fashion event of the year for me.
Now I have a baby I have to be quick getting ready. I ask Wayne if an outfit looks nice and he says yes or no."
The 24-year-old fashion colomnist also declared Sophie Farclough the winner of the annual Style 2010 competition.
Sophie was presented her with a bundle of prizes including a £12,000 Kia Venga car and a 10-day holiday in Barbados.
Other celeb racegoers included Liverpool defender Glen Johnson and goalie Pepe Reina. And cricket ace Freddie Flintoff watched his horse - the aptly-named Flintoff - trail along at the back of the pack
More than 85,000 fans basked in temperatures up to 20°C (68°F) at Aintree to watch champion jockey Tony McCoy win the Grand National at the 15th attempt on Don't Push It.
One onlooker said: 'We spooted Alex up in the stands with her mates enjoying herself.
She looked stunning in that minidress outfit and it really shows off her gorgeous long legs.'
