Ricky Whittle appears in court to face dangerous driving charge

Hollyoaks hunk Ricky Whittle has appeared in court charged with dangerous driving.

The 28-year-old was arrested in November after he allegedly struck a photographer with his car.

The soap star appeared at Liverpool Magistrates court on Friday morning for committal to crown court after he denied the allegations against him.

During the two minute hearing, the actor spoke only to confirm his name and address.

He is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court in April.

The incident happened in the early hours of 27th November last year after Whittle left a party in Liverpool's Parr Street Studios.

The Strictly Come Dancing runner-up is alleged to have deliberately hit freelance photographer Steve Farrell with his red Dodge Ram pick-up truck.
