Morals campaigners have branded Lady Gaga a "Little Germ"... the exact meaning of her actual Italian surname!
Gaga's real name is Angelina Germanotta - and the literal translation is "Little Angel, Little Germ".
But after she landed three Brit Awards psychologists are warning that making sex siren Gaga an icon for millions of youngsters dangerous.
Children's life coach Naomi Richards said: "Several studies have shown that exposing young girls to images of women as sex objects can affect their self-esteem in adulthood.
"Pre-teens are very impressionable and the hype over celebrities like Lady Gaga can leave girls thinking that being thin and sexy equates to being accepted and successful.
Richards, who has been 'The Kids Coach' for six years, added: "It's shocking that 11 and 12 year old girls are asking 'Am I supposed to look/act like that?'
"They don't realise that celebrity life isn't real life and very few have the confidence to say it doesn't matter.
"Children just shouldn't be put under that kind of pressure - kids should be allowed to be kids."
And Dr Adrian Rogers, founder of the moral values campaign Family Focus, said: "Little Angel Little Germ says it all.
"She is certainly no angel and more of a germ in society.
"Lady Gaga's image is one that is clearly having a significant impact on many young girls who will see her as some kind of role model.
"The problem is that young girls have been subjected to competitive cultural degeneration where people strive to appear outrageously degenerate.
"The reason we have so many sexually active youngsters is because we have sexualised childhood, and images of scantily clad pop stars in raunchy poses just encourages that.
"Celebrities like Gaga have made it attractive to take drugs, dress provocatively, have multiple partners and sham marriages.
"We should be teaching our children to disapprove of this kind of behaviour, not encouraging it by turning these pop stars into gods and godesses.
"Lady Gaga is hideous and should just disappear from the world she's helped to ruin."
