Ex-Emmerdale actress Sheree Murphy is set to return to soap life after landing a role in Hollyoaks.
The 34-year-old will return to acting after a six year break to play Eva, the long-lost mum of schoolgirl Anita Roy in the Liverpool-based soap.
She said: "Being a fan of the show I’m really excited to be a part of Hollyoaks and working with the young cast, especially Saira (Choudry, who plays Anita).
"Her character has been through some really tough times lately so it will be interesting to see how she responds to the arrival of my character Eva, her biological mother."
The mum-of-three quit Emmerdale in 2004 following husband, former Liverpool FC star, Harry Kewell's move to the club.
She chose to remain on Merseyside to look after the couple's three children after the midfielder signed for Turkish side Galatasaray in 2008.
Speaking at the time, the actress said: "I stayed for two pregnancies in Emmerdale but then when Harry moved to Liverpool that’s when I decided to stop acting for a while because I just didn’t want to do the commute as well.
"At the time I thought I wouldn’t be out for long but then things changed when Harry went to Turkey. I do presenting jobs which keeps things ticking over but I know that eventually I definitely want to go back to acting."
Sheree, who is mum to Taylor, eight, six-year-old Ruby and Matilda, who is one, has made a handful of TV appearances in recent years.
Sheree came runner up in the 2005 series of 'I'm A Celebrity', as well as guest presenting Loose Women and GMTV's Baby Breakfast Club.
Sheree, who played Tricia Dingle in the ITV soap, starts filming scenes in the Childwall studios this week ahead of her on-screen arrival on 23rd April.
Her character arrives under the guise of a mysterious brunette called Kate who starts dating Anita's older brother Ravi, played by Stephen Uppal.
However she soon discovers that Ravi's sister is the baby she abandoned years ago.
