Lady Gaga has revealed how she thought her serious drug addiction would kill her.
Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, believes the spirit of her dead aunt saved her from a life threatening cocaine habit.
In her new biography, the 23-year-old revealed that she would lock herself in her room taking "bags and bags" of the drug.
She said: "But then I realised my father's sister Joanne, who'd died at 19, had instilled her spirit in me. She was a painter and a poet - and I had a spiritual vision I had to finish her business."
The 'Bad Romance' singer comes to Liverpool's Echo Arena on 24th February.
