Strictly Come Dancing star Ricky Whittle has been charged with dangerous driving, Merseryside police have confirmed.
The 29-year-old Hollyoaks actor, from Billinge Lancashire, was charged in relation to an incident last month on Duke Street in Liverpool city centre.
He is scheduled to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on January 15 2010.
Whittle, who was runner-up winner in this year's Strictly Come Dancing competition, has previously been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a photographer.
The soap star was leaving a colleagues party, when it is alleged he assaulted a paparazzi photographer.
It is understood Ricky Whittle was driving his Dodge Ram pick-up truck at the time of the incident, leaving the snapper with bruising to his legs.
