"It's Over!" - Katie Price dumps boyfriend Alex after jungle exit‎ -

Katie Price has sensationally ditched cross-dressing boyfriend Alex Reid, after the macho cage-fighter flew out to Australia to meet her.

After news of Katie's shock "I'm a Celebrity" exit, Alex was rumoured to have splashed out £20,000 on a diamond engagement ring, and had reportedly told friends he was sure the former glamour girl would say yes to his proposal.

But speaking for the first time to Ant and Dec as she exited the ITV jungle, Katie said:

"I did a lot of thinking while I was in there, a lot of stuff happened that shouldn't have happened.

"I realised I just want to be on my own. I hope we can still be friends, but for now that's it.

"As far as I'm concerned I'm not with him."

The split comes after a whirlwind romance, which has been dogged by sleaze, surrounding 34-year-old Alex's cross-dressing alter ego "Roxanne", and Katie's inability to get over ex-husband Peter Andre, who she met six years ago during her first appearance on the ITV show.

Katie, 31, decided to quit the jungle late last night after the public voted for her to face a seventh Bushtucker trial, a record for the show.

On leaving, Katie said: "I don't know why the pubic kept voting for me. Either they hate me, or they want to see me."

But the publicity-mad mum of three said enough was enough, adding: "I don't need the money, it's not about that."

Later in the show, ex-Eastenders actress Lucy Benjamin became the first celebrity to be voted off the show.
