Coronation Street actress Julia Haworth, who plays Claire Peacock, has given birth to a baby girl.
A Granada spokeswoman confirmed that baby Sophia Elizabeth was born at 7.45am on Friday weighing 8lb 11oz
The spokesman said Haworth and her husband, Jon Wormald, are "delighted".
"Words cannot describe how proud we are of our beautiful daughter," Burnley-born Haworth said.
"She is everything we hoped for and so much more."
