Calvin Harris caused a storm during tonight's X Factor after he invaded the stage during a live performance with a pineapple on his head.
The Flashback singer was due to appear on The Xtra Factor which airs after the reality show on ITV2 but chose to interrupt John and Edward Grimes' rendition of Queen's 'Under Pressure' on the live ITV show.
Electro DJ Calvin posted on micro-blogging site Twitter minutes after he had been ejected from the hit reality programme.
He said: "Was just thrown out of X Factor for jumping onstage during Jedward with a pineapple on my head."
His actions were slammed by Jedward's mentor, X Factor judge Louis Walsh who said: "When the idiot jumped up from the audience it didn't even faze you guys."
X Factor bosses promptly cancelled 25-year-old Harris's appearance on The Xtra Factor and drafted in Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw as his replacement.
A show spokesperson said: "Calvin Harris ran onto the stage during John And Edward's performance. This resulted in him being escorted from the studio by security and ejected from The Xtra Factor as a planned guest.
"Apparently Calvin is a huge John And Edward fan but it's unacceptable to storm the stage whilst an act is performing."
Earlier today Harris posted a picture of the pineapple on Twitter and captioned it 'IMPORTANT' but did not divulge details. He has since offered an apology via Twitter for any offence caused.
He said: "At the end of the day, I had a pineapple on my head. Sorry if I caused anyone embarrassment. P.s I love Jedward."
