Coleen Rooney checks into Liverpool Women's Hospital

Speculation that Coleen Rooney is about to give birth to her first child has been confirmed by the arrival of mother Colette and brother Joe at Liverpool Women's hospital.

Coleen, who is said to be a week over on her "due date" is believed to have arrived at the NHS hospital with Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney.

Fans at United's Carrington training ground said he had not reported for duty - further fuelling speculation that he could be at his wife's bedside in a labour ward.

Another woman at the Women's Hospital said: "Coleen checked in to the hospital on Sunday night.

"She is already a week overdue and like all of us she is impatient to have the baby."
