Abbey Clancy and England striker Peter Crouch have announced their engagement.
The 6ft 7in stirker got down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend of four years during their Sardinia holiday last month.
The pair met during a mutual friends party in Liverpool's trendy Mosquito bar in 2005 and the pair reside together in a six-bedroomed house.
A source said: "Abbey was delighted when Peter proposed.
"They have been happy for a long time and had discussed marriage.
"But it was a surprise for Abbey when Peter popped the question on holiday.
"She just burst into tears and said yes.
"Obviously she's looking forward to planning the wedding, she is on top of the world right now."
