The Hollywood hunk was full of praise for Stephen, who shot to fame in Guy Ritchie's Snatch, at the John Dillenger film after party.
And he said they had become mates since starring in Public Enemies, with Johnny saying he wants to work with the Kirby-born actor again.

Johnny, who plays legendary crook John Dillinger, said: “Stephen is one of my favourite actors.
"He is very versatile and a great creator of character."
Good news for Stephen who won parts in Gangs Of New York and This Is England - proving he’s on his way to being a cinema great.
Stephen plays 'Baby Face' Nelson in Public Enemies and will play mob boss Al Capone in Martin Scorses's TV series Boardwalk Empire.
Johnny added: "What he did in This Is England was extraordinary. I’d have him in all my future films."
