MICHAEL JACKSON has died after suffering a heart attack.
The King Of Pop was loaded into an ambulance just after 2pm, LA time, after paramedics were seen performing CPR on the singer.
It is thought Jackson suffered the cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.
Captain Steve Ruda, of the Los Angeles Fire Department, has confirmed to the LA Times that paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's home around 12.26pm.
He was not breathing when they arrived.
The paramedics performed CPR and took Jackson to UCLA Medical Centre.
Once at the hospital, staff tried to resuscitate him but he was said to be completely unresponsive.
Close pal of Jackson Uri Geller said: "Like the whole world I am devastated and lost for words.
"I still can't believe it, I reviewed half of Michael's new album, I can't believe what I am hearing.
"He was just rehearsing, looking forward to his gig in Britain.
"At the moment I am just trying to contact his family."
The singer was due to start the first of 50 dates at the O2 arena in London on July 13.
A spokeswoman for The Outside Organisation, who are organising the publicity for Jackson's UK concerts, said she had no comment at this time.
