
Coronation Street babe Michelle Keegan has revealed she is a huge fan of Martina Cole's violent gangster thrillers.
The 22-year-old soap star is an avid reader of the graphic and brutal depiction of the criminal underworld, as told in the bestsellers adult novels.
Award winning actress Michelle, said recently:'I'm a big fan of Martina Cole's crime thrillers.'
'Whenever I go abroad, I'll generally take her latest book way with me on holiday.'
Keegan, a former check-in agent at Manchester Airport, plays Tina McIntyre in the popular ITV soap and starts a sizzling affair this week with Jason Grimshaw.
Fellow Corrie actor Jack P Shepherd, who plays David dumps Tina (Michelle Keegan) in a rage after she refuses to lie for him in court and loses no time hooking up with hunky-but-dim builder Jason (Ryan Thomas).
Michelle, who was voted the Sexiest Female at the 2009 British Soap Awards, is also a huge fan of mobster movies.
She added: 'I love gangster movies, I think Casino and Goodfellas are my favourites.'
And her natural father, Mike, is an inspector with Greater Manchester Police.

Cole's gripping family drama 'The Take,' has justed aired on Sky 1 and is set in the criminal underworld spanning 10 years from the height of Thatcherism to the birth of New Labour.
The powerful human drama, set in the East End of London, is about crime, power, violence and betrayal.
