Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans has told how he once arrived in South Africa and then jumped on the same plane to come back home.
Ginger Evans was expected to partner celebrity chef Aldo Zilli at a charity event in Cape Town, but got cold feet and returned to Britain.
Evans said: "I just didn't want to be there.
"The flight felt like it had taken forever and when I got there I realised it was the last place on earth that I wanted to be.
"So after an hour's drinking in a bar, I picked up my case and headed back to the airport.
"I asked if it was possible to get back on the same plane and go home.
"The airline said there was no problem with that so that's exactly what I did.
"I think I must hold the record for least amount of time spent in a country thousands of miles away before coming back to good old Blighty."
The former TFI Friday presenter has been a big hit since becoming the drive-time host on BBC Radio 2, averaging 5 million listners a day.
