KERRY Katona's hopes of a money spinning re-union with Atomic Kitten have been dashed by former band member Liz McClarnon.

Kerry, 28, had expressed an interest in returning to the group after a mystery sponsor offered to finance a ten-date UK tour.

But Kerry's dreams of scooping a six-figure sum are over after one-time pal Liz McClarnon admitted a re-union was "out of the question".

Liz said: "An Atomic Kitten re-union is the last thing on my mind at the moment.

"Me, Jen and Natasha are still really good mates but I am just so busy at the moment.

"I am working on a lot of my own material and I am completely booked up until 2012.

"I'm not as close with Kerry as I am with the others and I'm sure she is busy with other things too.

"Obviously it would be great to play with the girls again in Liverpool, but it is not something which I have been thinking about.

"Nothing will be going on in the near future."

A source close to the Kitten's said: "The girls are always inundated with offers to re-form but at the moment they have no plans.

"Obviously Jen, Natasha and Liz are all good pals but Kerry has fallen of the radar.

"They could all earn a huge amount of money from getting back together without Kerry.

"It's nothing personal against Kerry, but the girls have taken different paths over the years and her joining the band again would be a bit weird.

"The rest of the girls have kept their finger on the pulse in the music industry since the band split and Kerry hasn't done any singing for years.

"The girls will probably re-form in a couple of years, but Kerry is definitely not part of their plans."

A spokesperson for the band added: "Kerry Katona left Atomic Kitten in December 2000 before the band released 'Whole Again'.

"She was replaced by Jenny Frost and the band became globally successful thereafter.

"The band took an extended break in 2004 and occasionally still work together on charity projects and corporate gigs."
