Gorgeous Corrie babe Kym Marsh had a boob job just days before the British Soap Awards.
Kym, who plays Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, splashed out £4000 on enhancing her assets, ensuring she looked gorgeous for the cameras on the red carpet.
The black-haired beauty admitted going under the knife only a week before the lavish ceremony to enlarge her 32B chest to a 32D in a bid to look her best.
But despite looking glam, Kym was fighting through the pain barrier throughout the two-hour show.
Usually surgeons recommend at least a two-week resting period after having a breast augmentation to allow the wounds to heal.
But Kym ignored the doctor's advice and was adamant she would attend the bash in support of her fiance - Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, who was nominated for three awards.
Both mum-of-two Kym and Jamie, were dealt a devastating blow back in February when they lost their premature baby, Archie.
And friends added that Kym decided to have the boob job operation to give her a much needed confidence boost after the harrowing experience of losing a baby.
A friend said: "Kym was complaining that her boobs were really sore, because she had only had them done a few days before the event.
"She was knocking back pain killers to stop the agony.
"But they really must have been really giving her some grief because she had to lie down on her back in her hotel room with bags of ice on her chest.
"She nearly gave the whole ceremony a miss because of the pain but the soap awards is one of the best nights of the year.
"Kym also wanted to be there supporting Jamie, who was nominated for three gongs.
"She was ever the professional though and strutted her stuff on to the red carpet.
"No-one was any the wiser of what kind of pain she was actually in.
"Kym has had a tough time this year.
"She has been working really hard and just wanted to give herself a boost and regain some self esteem after losing the baby.
"But now she looks amazing, she is really happy with her new boobs."
Corrie star Kym said: "I've never made any secret of the fact that a boob job was something that I wanted to have done at some point.
"I had it done last week and I'm delighted with the results."
