As the first lady of pop, Gaga has explained that she depends on a few precious home comforts while she's on the road to keep her sane.

The New Yorker, who is apparently feeling the strain of her demanding world tour schedule, told how her teacup helps to keep her 'grounded.'

She famously sent a lackey back to posh nosh eatery Nobo's recently to pick up the lavendar china, which she insists on taking everywhere.

But Lady Gaga denied that it was the result of a diva like strop and it was only sent her assistant back to get it because it has sentimental value.

She said: "Lots of people made a big fuss about my lost teacup recently.

"The tea cup was a gift - its really special to me. I left it at Nobo's and just had to send someone back to get it.

"I don't have a home right now - so I need a few home comforts and take solace in a few that I've had for a long time.

"I'm not a diva, its just my lavendar teacup, it brings me happiness and I wanted it back.

"The tea cup and certain things help to keep me grounded.

"The other is my lavendar vase - I just fill it up with oils and set fire to it. It stinks out the tour bus - but it relaxes me."

Lady GaGa also said that although she feels confident with her body and about her high fashion image but that she is hopeless with men and choosing boyfriends.

She added: "You know I am totally confident about my talent, I am totally confident that I am an incredible artist and performer.

"I have complete faith in myself in so many ways, absolutely.

"I love the way I look, I am extremely confident about my body, the way I dress, the way I want to look. But I have no confidence when it comes to men.

"Men are a disaster area for me. It's so weird because I know how to be sexy - I believe I am super sexy, I believe I am incredible but I have absolutely no luck with boyfriends."
