Musical legend Sir Paul McCartney has become the latest victim of the credit crunch losing around £60 million according to the Sunday Times rich list.

The former Beatle, who was worth around £440 million, has felt the effects of the current economic crisis and has seen millions wiped off the value of his investments in the past year.

The 63-year-old, who has luxury properties that spand the globe, is said to have been hit hard by the fall in the value of property and shares.

His divorce from wife of three years Heather Mills also cost him £24.3million.

Elton John and Robbie Williams have also felt the pinch losing almost a quarter of their personal wealth.
