Calvin Harris, currently sitting pretty at the top of the charts with I'm Not Alone, has just been announced as a headline act during Liverpool's SoundCity festival by the 02 Academy.
The Scottish music star, who is gearing up for festival season by 'working hard' on his live act and promising 'something special to dance it up a bit' for Creamfields, plays the Academy on May 21, the night before White Lies' sell-out gig.
Dumphries disco belter Calvin has told how he is also seeking a specs deal so he can turn his unique fly eye shades into mass market accessories for his fans.
The Acceptable In The 80s singer crafted two pairs of his trademark sunglasses and is keen to negotiate with Specsavers about possible sponsorship - believing his DIY prototypes will become all the rage.
Calvin said: "I'd love it if Specsavers were interested, especially if they thought they could put them in every store.
"It would be lucrative because everyone wants a pair of them now.
"I truly hope that happens because we have been trying to get them made for ages. I don't know if Specsavers would be able to manufacture them in bulk.
"But nobody has come up with a decent-looking version. The two pairs I have, I made myself.
"At this rate, I will have to make them all myself."
