Opera star Katherine Jenkins duet dream with Kanye West

Opera babe Katherine Jenkins has issued a come and get me plea to hip-hop superstar Kanye West over plans to record a duet.

The gorgeous blonde is currently in L.A. working on her new album and it seems all the Hollywood sunshine has effected her musical sensibilities.

Katherine, 28, who signed a megabucks £5.8 million deal with Warner Music last October, said she would be delighted if rapper Kanye sampled her Opera tunes.

She said: "I would love to do a one-off duet with someone like Kanye West.

"I really like Kanye's musical style and if he sampled some of my opera on one of his tracks that would be amazing."

The singer also revealed that although she prefers Britain, she is enjoying the healthy Californian lifestyle.

She added: "I really like LA but I think I will always live in the UK.

"I don't mind going over there for periods of time though. The lifestyle is so healthy and I love running on the beach."
