Rock legend Stevie Nicks has lauched a scathing attack on pop babe Britney Spears claiming she doesn't deserve her fame.

The row broke out after music bible Rolling Stone named Britney the 'Queen of Rock and Roll' after her comeback from a nervous breakdown last year.

The infuriated Fleetwood Mac lead singer claims Britney has not paid her dues in the world of Rock and was handed her fame on a plate.

Ageing rocker Stevie, 60, says: "You have to pay your dues to be a real rock star.

"It's different in that Britney did not join a band when she was 18 and practice every day for five hours all week and then play gigs all weekend."
