AFTER 20 years away, Spandau Ballet are back, and they are coming to Liverpool.
The 1980s pop band consisting of Tony Hadley, John Keeble, Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp and Steve Norman, delighted fans by reforming last week.
The band, who have sold over 25 million albums worldwide, shot to fame after debut single "To Cut A Long Story Short" stormed into the UK top 10 back in 1981.
And Spandau member Tony Hadley has admitted he can't wait to get back to Liverpool, the city which gave the boys their first taste of pop stardom!
Tony said: "Things just keeps getting better and better.
"We hoped that we would be welcome back but this is beyond our expectations.
"The reaction we have had after announcing the tour has been unbelievable.
"We are particularly pleased to add Liverpool to the schedule.
"I seem to remember that we played the Liverpool Empire back in 1982 and it was the first time we noticed girls screaming at us.
"It was a our first taste of true pop stardom!"
