Hot newcomer Aaron Johnson, star of the new John Lennon Biopic NOWHERE BOY has revealed how he get ready for the iconic role.

The young actor, who shot to fame in teen flick 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging' reckons he is well-versed in all things Lennon thanks to a lot of study.

Aaron has told how he has watched hours of film of the murdered Beatle to get his mannerisms and body language right.

He is to star along side 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' actress Kristan Scott Thomas and Shameless star Ann Marie Duff, who play Lennon's Aunt Mimi and mother Julia.

And he says that audience are in for a treat when they see their strong performances.

Aaron said: "I have been reading all I can about John. I owe it to the role to be well versed in all the things about him.

"Obviously I started by listening to his music which is very autobiographical and I could glean stuff about his personality.

"There is also lots of footage around from the time which I have studied, including his body language, his facial expressions and his mannerisms.

"I have also been listening to the same music which inspired him all those years ago.

"Stuff like Otis Redding, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino and American Rock and Roll.

"It's hard to say how much there is of me in the character of John.

"We are both teenage boys so I can kind of understand some of the changes and emotions he must have been going through.

"It is also great to be working with such a good cast.

"Kristan and Ann who play the important women in John's life are excellent and give some strong performances.

And the young actor didn't rule out an attraction to John's widow Yoko Ono.

Aaron added: "Yoko is Yoko. She is a fantastic woman."
