WATCH out Milan, London and Paris, Liverpool Fashion Week is well and truly underway.
It may only be in it's second year, but organizers and designers at the event are convinced LFW can compete with the world's fashion elite.
Kicking off at the Adelphi Hotel last night, singer Natasha Hamilton and Queer Eye for the Straight guy star Julian Bennett opened proceedings to a packed crowd.
The cream of Liverpool's thriving party scene were treated to designs from Flatley, Mark Melia, The Dressing Room, Neil Cooper, Ally Mac and Frederick & Madison in an extravagant two-hour show.
Supermodel Sophie Anderton also delighted fans by returning to the catwalk for the first time in two years to model a series of dresses from designer pal Neil Cooper.
Speaking exclusively to Clocked, Sophie said: "Liverpool is a fantastic city with a thriving fashion culture.
"Liverpool Fashion Week was only created last year and I think it rivals London, Paris and even Milan.
"It has the potential to be up there with some of the big hitters.
"The city is fantastic and everyone involved with this event has worked so hard, they deserve success.
"Some of the designers are fantastic, Neil is a good friend of mine and it was pleasure to model for him."
Designer Neil Cooper added: "I met Sophie a couple of weeks ago and we hit it off immediately.
"We just clicked and it's bizarre, because I know now I have a friend for life.
"It's a great coup for the city that she agreed to attend Liverpool Fashion Week.
"I think there is a real feeling that this event will get bigger and better in the next few years.
"London may be more recognised but in my eyes Liverpool has been setting the bar in fashion for the last five years.
"The men and women in this city are probably the most glamorous in the country so it's only natural that we have our own fashion show.
"There is no reason why Liverpool Fashion week can't become a real force."
