Despite having hit the top of the charts with their debut album, The White Lies are so skint they are offering their services as DJs to raise some pocketmoney.

The Indie band, who are currently touring on the Shockwaves NME awards, have recently declared they are available for DJ slots and after show parties to raise cash.

Drummer Jack Brown, 20, has claimed that although 'Our album was at No.1 last week you have to sell allot of records to earn anything.'

In a recent interview with MTV they said: "It’s not about record sales it’s about connecting with people."

With their witty, poetic lyrics and ultra 'noir' look are suspected to follow in the steps of The Killers and Arctic Monkeys.

Already they are touring with the likes of, Friendly Fires, Florence and The Machines after being heralded by NME.

Jack also admitted the band are cutting back on booze to save some pennies, he added: "We're not going mad with drinking as the tour is really competitive and won't want to ruin our chances."
