
Actress Jenny Ellison decided the show must go on despite suffering a suspected cracked rib when she fell backstage in pantomime.
Jenny was rushed to the Royal Liverpool Hospital by ambulance on Friday night after she tripped druing a scene change in Cinderella.
She is sharing top bill in the show, billed as Britain's most lavish and costly panto which is sold out and playing to packed audiences at Liverpool Empire Theatre.
The record-breaking #1 million star studded show sees Jenny as Cinders sharing the limelight with Cilla Black and Les Dennis.
But on Friday night disaster strruck when Jenny was dashing to change her costume for the "transformation scene" in which Cinders becomes Princess Crystal to attend the ball.
After the nasty fall Jenny was in agony with chest pain but bravely carried on to complete the performance in the three-hour show.
But on Saturday morning she told the show's managers that she was planning to turn-up and go on with the performance, despite the pain from her injury.
A theatre insider said: "Jenny has been very brave. What a trouper she is. First she carried on through the show on friday even though she was in pain.
"Nobody expected her to do the two shows on Saturday but she rang in and said the show must go on. She is incredible.
"The doctors think she has cracked a rib and she may have to be strapped-up through the shows until she is better."
