TV presenter Eamonn Holmes is set to make a one-off cameo on teen soap Hollyoaks.
The show has teamed up with Sky News for the appearance, as Holmes invites Chester's very own wannabe WAG Mitzeee Minniver (played by Rachel Shenton) on to his show.
When the love of Mitzeee’s life, Riley Costello (played by Rob Norbury), was shot by rogue undercover cop, Walker (Neil Newbon) her whole life came crashing down.
But it wasn’t just her who was affected, as we’ll see from the unexpected return of Riley’s vengeful father Carl Costello (Paul Opacic).
Determined for justice, Carl decides that Walker has to pay for killing Riley and ropes Mitzeee into his revenge scheme.
Eamonn’s cameo is also tied in to Carl’s elicit plan.
Mitzeee and Eamonn’s collaboration marks Rachel Shenton’s departure from the Chester-based soap.
But it remains to be seen whether Mitzeee will get a happy ending away from Hollyoaks, or if her involvement with Carl has put her life in danger.
Speaking about her decision to leave the award-winning soap, Rachel said: “Mitzeee’s final week is not to be missed, especially when she finds herself chatting to the fabulous Mr Holmes.
“I’ve had an amazing two years playing Mitzeee (with three e’s).
"She’s been on an incredible journey that’s not over yet.
"It’s been an absolute privilege to work with the cast and crew that make Hollyoaks such a special place.
"This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve made, but I feel it’s time for Mitzeee and myself to move onto pastures new."
Rachel and Eamonn’s episode will air on Thursday 14 February at 18:30 on C4, with a first look on Wednesday 13 February at 19:00 on E4.
