A host of celebrities have teamed up with Liverpool’s Cavern Walks to help create a special Christmas surprise for the patients at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Coleen Rooney, John Bishop and Keith Lemon are amongst the long line of celebrities who have signed and decorated baubles with festive messages.
These will then be placed on a tree in the children’s ward, donated and decorated by the shopping centre.
Centre Manager for Cavern Walks Stan Yarker said: “This will be the second year running that we have teamed up with Alder Hey to give the children a special Christmas surprise.
“Last year it was a huge success and the kids loved looking at the baubles to see which of their favourite celebrities had signed them.
“This year we’re going to make the tree bigger and better than ever with stars who the children can really relate to. We can’t wait to see their faces when it is unveiled.”
Other celebrities who have agreed to support the campaign include superstars Rhianna and Justin Bieber, boyband The Wanted, and X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke.
Head of Fundraising at Alder Hey Chris Done said: “Alder Hey is one of the biggest and busiest children’s hospitals in Europe, so any donation made to the trust is invaluable, especially at Christmas.
“We would like to thank Cavern Walks for their support and the celebrities who have donated their time to sign a bauble for us. We are delighted to be able to have the tree on view for everyone to see over the festive period.”
