A group of local solicitors are completing the three peak challenge for Help the Heroes.

Solicitors Kristina Stoddern, Laura Chalkley and secretary Karen Ryan from Maxwell Hodge are climbing Britain’s highest peaks in 24 hours, to raise money for the Help the Heroes challenge.

Kristina who is a Partner at the firm said: “For the challenge we will climb Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis and we are all really excited to see how fast we can do it. A group called Go Commando are helping us train, through a military style fitness programme and we are also all going to the gym. I can imagine it’s going to hard work but it will be a great sense of achievement at the end.”

Help the Heroes charity raises money to support and help service men and women who have been wounded in Britain’s current conflicts.

She added: “We chose to donate money to Help the Heroes because it is such a good cause and we know people who are in the forces so it is a charity close to our heart. Maxwell Hodge has kindly made a donation already and we are looking for more people to dig deep, so we can raise a lot of money.”

The group will do the challenge on August 12 and 13 with the group of ex marines “Go Commando” which are helping them train. They have already successfully completed their first training session hiking 11 miles up Snowdon.
