Liverpool actress Jennifer Ellison is taking a break from acting to nurture young talent through her own fame school.
The 27-year-old will train budding stars from the age of six in dance, drama and singing at the new institute, which opens in September.
The 'Jennifer Ellison Fame Academy', which opens in the star's hometown of Liverpool, will also hold four week-long summer schools in July.
The West End star, who has ploughed £100k of her own money into the project, said: "I want to find the stars of the future and give them the best possible grounding in the industry.
"I don't come from a wealthy background but I have a fantastic mum and dad who worked every hour God sent to send me to The Royal Ballet School.
"But I know a lot of families can't do that so I want to help and put my career second to nurture the up-and-coming talent."
The school will offer masterclasses taught by some of the biggest names in the West End, TV, film and dance, who are set to be announced in the next few weeks.
The Chicago star said: "My career has spanned every area of the entertainment industry and an awful lot of what I know was learnt on the job.
"I don't want these young stars to fall at the same hurdles I did.
"There's so much that no one ever tells you, like how to hold a microphone or what to expect at an audition."
The mum-of-one also hopes the new venture will allow her to spend more time with her one-year-old son Bobby, her first child with husband Rob Tickle.
The blonde beauty added: "Bobby's already been on tour with me twice, while I've been doing Calendar Girls.
"But I live in Liverpool and I want to stay in Liverpool - that's why I'm doing this.
"I want to be able to drop my son off at school and pick him up and not be on tour at Christmas and miss his Nativity plays."
The Jennifer Ellison Fame Academy will be held on weekends at the Contemporary Urban Centre, Greenland Street.
