Liverpool’s fine dining restaurant in the sky Panoramic, and luxury French Champagne house Perrier Jouet are on top of the world after raising £1,500 for NSPCC.
Panoramic, the UK’s tallest freestanding restaurant, and Perrier Jouet held an exclusive evening of fine dining and Champagne at the restaurant to raise cash for the children’s charity.
The restaurant, located on the 34th floor of West Tower in Liverpool’s Financial District, kicked off the sell-out event with a champagne and canapé reception.
Guests were guided through a delicious five-course tasting menu accompanied by Perrier-Jouet’s sumptuous
range of champagnes, served in specially hand painted glasses.
Panoramic's sommelier Christina Holzer and Perrier-Jouet Champagne expert Philipa Scott talked diners through the style and taste of the champagnes as they were served.
Dishes such as Langoustine, Monkfish, Perigord Truffle and Foie Gras were enjoyed and each course was specially tailored to match the taste of the champagne it was served with.
Panoramic’s owners, Hugh and Cathy Frost, were delighted at the event’s success. Cathy said: “Bringing together many of our regular diners as well as some key charity supporters for such a worthy cause made for quite a memorable evening.”
Sarah Corcoran, Managing Director of Panoramic, said: “Perrier-Jouet has long been one of the most celebrated Champagne houses in France, while Panoramic prides itself on the outstanding standard of food, service and ambiance it presents to its customers.
"We felt that the two names complimented each other perfectly, and the fact that £1500 was donated to the NSPCC meant that the night was extra special.”
