And now local icon Williams, renowned for his role in ‘Backbeat’ amongst numerous television, film and theatre performances, has joined the rapidly growing Love Follow Conquer fanbase.
His list of notable appearances on both the big and small screens include his performance in the lead role of gangster Ged Brennan in “The Crew”, the movie adapted from Liverpool supporter Kevin Sampson’s novel “Outlaws”, plus the part of Joe Glover in one of the most important football documentaries ever produced; Jimmy McGovern’s BAFTA-winning “Hillsborough” for ITV.
His next film project, Hard Boiled Sweets, co-stars fellow scousers Ian Hart, Phillip Barantini and Elizabeth Berrington in a ‘film noir’ style thriller due to be released this summer.
Love Follow Conquer designer Ian Maloney, a lifelong Liverpool fan and Anfield regular since the age of eight, said: “We’re really excited with the response we’ve have to our brand Love Follow Conquer and it’s fantastic to hear the likes of Scot Williams is wearing our products with pride.
“Although we only launched this year this is something that has been developing inside us for years. Growing up in Liverpool in the 70’s and 80’s every young lad was influenced by football, fashion and music and we were no different.”
He added: “We’re developing more fashion-based garments for launch in the summer which will hopefully make Love Follow Conquer clothing a real option for supporters of our great club."
