The generous stars of Hollyoaks are taking time out of their busy filming schedule to support some of the region’s sickest children.

The actors will present their latest donation of just over £36,000 raised from The Hollyoaks Charity Ball to patients from both Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Claire House Hospice.

Lime Pictures, the makers of the Channel 4 soap have been supporting Alder Hey Imagine Appeal for a number of years and up to now have donated over £85,000 to Europe’s busiest children’s hospital.

Managing Director for Lime Pictures, Sean Marley, said: "It is really good to have the opportunity to give something back to our local community and Lime Pictures are proud to be supporting Alder Hey and Claire House.

"We would like to thank those who attended last year’s Hollyoaks Charity Ball as it’s their generosity that makes this happen.

"We are certainly looking forward to doing it all again later this year."

Senior Fundraising Manager for Alder Hey, Chris Done, added: "We are indebted to Lime Pictures for their amazing support – particularly given the difficult economic climate.

"In particular we’d like to thank Lime for organising the Hollyoaks Charity ball every year and also to the Hollyoaks football team who have played up and down the country, in all weathers, to raise funds for us.

"They have all been fantastic!"

Three lucky patients from Alder Hey and two from Claire House who are massive Hollyoaks fans will get to meet some of the cast and crew when they attend the studio presentation on Thursday 10th March 10th at 10am.
