Betrayed WAG Coleen Rooney shopped for baby supplies in Liverpool today (THURS) in the biggest sign yet that she is preparing for single-motherhood.
The heartbroken 24-year-old has kept a low profile in the last few days, only leaving the sanctuary of her parents home to visit disabled sister Rosie in hospital, and now to stock up on goods for baby Kai.
She underwent some retail therapy in the nearby New Mersey Shopping Park, a retail centre in the outskirts of the city which is home to babywear stores, Mamas and Papas, Mothercare and Early Learning Centre.
A visibly distressed Coleen strode out of the house with her son in a push-chair before dad Tony, who has been on hand to support his daughter every day since the sex scandal broke, drove his daughter off in the family's Mercedes people carrier.
The hurting WAG abandoned any show of faux-glamour as she faced the awaiting press with hair scraped back into a bun, and in dressed down jeans with black Ugg boots.
One onlooker said: "I feel so sorry for Coleen, shopping for baby stuff when your man has been going behind your back with prostitutes must be heartbreaking.
"Fair play to her for getting on with it though.
"She still managed to look good, even in her jeans and Uggs.
"Coleens carried herself so well through all of this, she's dealing with it like a strong woman.
"Wayne doesn't deserve her."
Coleen kept the public guessing as to when she and Wayne will meet for crisis talks which will make or break their relationship.
Rooney returned to the couple's Manchester pad in the early hours of Wednesday morning after netting in England's 3-1 win in Switzerland on Tuesday.
The pair are yet to meet face-to-face since the story broke with Wayne returning to training at Manchester United's Carrington training ground, and Coleen staying in Liverpool with Kai.
Locals in Liverpool have reacted furiously to the media storm which now surrounds the McLoughlin's six bedroom property in Huyton.
Police have attended the scene daily to deal with abuse from passing thugs who have attacked journalists, pelting them with eggs, bottles and stones.
One photographer was chased onto the nearby M62 motorway by five yobs in a blue Subaru Impreza who claimed to be "Wayne's lads."
Journalists yesterday fled the scene fearing for themselves and their equipment following a spate of assaults.
