Former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson declared her love for The Beatles yesterday calling herself a massive fan, but did not know what the Cavern Club was when asked.
Pamela took questions ahead of her panto role as The Genie of the Bottle in Aladin at the Liverpool Empire Theatre.
Speaking at the press conference the 43-year-old said: “I love Liverpool and who doesn’t like the Beatles. I haven’t had a look around as yet but I really want to see the shops and brush up on my Liverpool knowledge.”
Pamela described Paul McCartney as her favourite of all the former Beatles saying: “Paul has to be my favourite because I have spent the most time with him.”
“He gave me the first Linda McCartney award and was very sweet on the guitar. I am in awe of the amazing work he does for vegetarians and animals.”
Pamela, who is a vegetarian and committed anti-fur campaigner herself, called the former Beatle a “great inspiration.”
The peroxide blonde revealed she would like nothing more than trying some authentic pub grub while in the city saying: “I want to explore all the local pubs while I am here and eat chips with lots of vinegar.”
But when asked whether she was looking forward to visiting the famous Cavern she said: “I don’t even know what that is, but yeah sure.”
Pamela then disclosed that her ex-husband Tommy Lee will be looking after their children while she is away over the Christmas period. Pamela has said this new arrangement will take some getting used to:
“This year will be a little bit strange because Tommy will have the kids and I am not used to being away from them. I will have to keep myself occupied.”
Pamela Anderson will star alongside Mark Moraghan and Les Dennis for the show at the Empire, which will run from Fri, Dec 10th - Sun, Jan 2nd.
