Football's latest teen superstar, Jack Rodwell has been nicknamed 'Rooney Two' after bagging himself a celebrity stunner in 16-year-old Beauty Queen, Melissa Reeves.
The teenage sweethearts have been on a string of dates and friends say they have been inseparable since meeting in a restaurant on the Albert Dock.
The young couple's romance mirrors the Rooneys' who met in their teens and both went on to carve out sucessful careers.
Colleen made an early appearance in Hollyoaks like Melissa and Jack is emulating Wayne who learned his trade at the same Merseyside club.
Dubbed the next Wayne and Colleen, the model looking duo have tried to keep their love out of the spotlight.
But since Jack's recent on-field heroics and Melissa's debut in teen soap Hollyoaks, the couple have become hot property on the Merseyside party scene.
The Southport-born footballer became the youngest ever player to have featured for Everton at the tender age of 16 years, 284 days.
Having scored with the Cheshire honey only two weeks ago the 17-year-old took his lucky streak onto the pitch and netted his first senior goal for his club the same weekend.
A close friend to the couple said: "The pair are very much in love and both driven to suceed in their careers.
"They have tried to stay out of the limelight but they couldn't keep hidden forever.
"Everyone has started calling Jack 'Rooney Two' but he doesn't seem to mind.
"If they go down the road Wayne and Coleen went down, I'm sure they will be happy.
"It is early days yet but they are happy and suit each other well."
