Coronation Street star enjoys a rumble in the jungle

Coronation Street’s Andrew Lancel joined a host of guests for a ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ in Liverpool ONE.

The former Bill actor, who plays evil Frank Foster on the ITV soap, was spotted playing miniature golf at Jungle Rumble, where around 120 Indiana-Jones wannabes from across the city swung by the jungle-themed course to try their luck at the venue’s two 18 hole courses.

After putting their balls around 18,000 sq ft of wooden tikki huts, secret swamps, temple ruins, and a live action volcano, victory was given to teams from Liverpool Vision and Lifestyle Monthly, who completed the course with a tied score of 42 points.

Luckily for guests, insects and snakes were off the menu as the Jungle Rumble Café served up a tasty selection of homemade canapés whilst a live Batala band played Brazilian Samba rhythms.

Manager Rob Kelly said: “What a way to warm up the winter nights! We had a fantastic evening and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves on the course. Not many people realise that we’re here so it was nice to introduce our venue to a new audience.”

The adventure golf course, which takes up the space of a full size football pitch, also features a state of the art, indoor golf simulator where guests pit themselves against some of the world’s top golfers including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Martin Kaymer.

Jungle Rumble is open from 10am to 11pm seven days a week and offers packages for birthdays, group bookings and corporate events.
