A relay team of triatheletes are hoping to take the track, road and water by storm to raise funds for Clatterbridge Hospital.
Team captain, Sacha Keating lost her brother to bowel cancer seven years ago, he was only 36.
And now she has persuaded two of her colleagues, Mark Burns and Stephen Mather to join her relay team to raise money for Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology, which is where her brother was treated before his death.
The triathlon team work for Urgent Care 24, a company part of a social enterprise offering GPs an after hours service, taking patients calls 24 hours a day every day of the year.
The trio will tackle the course at Liverpool’s iconic waterfront, with Mark navigating his way through the Queens Dock, Stephen getting on his bike and Sacha crossing the finish line after a 5km run.
And Sacha said how they were all looking forward to giving the triathlon their best shot.
She said: "None of us have ever done anything like this before but I saw a leaflet for the triathlon at the gym and decided to sign us up.
"It's for a really worthy cause and the oncology department at Clatterbridge is one of the best.
"They treated my brother amazingly well before he died and I would like to give something back to them."
Each year more than 7,000 new patients from Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire and the Isle of Man are referred to the centre for treatment.
Sacha, Mark and Stephen will be joining thousands of triathletes taking part in the Liverpool Triathlon on June 27.
