Wirral Council are holding an information event to help residents learn more about the benefits offered by Adult Social Services.

The event will be held in the Education Room at Victoria Central Health Centre on Wednesday 3rd February, between 9.30am and 1pm.

There will be information about all care services, welfare rights and services to promote older people’s independence, such as ‘assistive technology’ which enables people to remain independent for longer in their own homes, home delivered hot meals and the Handyperson Service.

Help will also be on hand for anyone wishing to discuss the help available for people with Alzheimers, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health issues and alcohol problems.

There will also be representatives from Age Concern, the British Legion, the Multicultural Centre and Carr Gomm - who help vulnerable people with special needs with housing and support services.
