A network that gives Liverpool residents a greater influence in the future of their health and social care provision is hosting a series of open meetings.
Liverpool’s Local Involvement Network (LINk) is an independent network made up of local people and voluntary, community and faith organisations.
LINk's role is to find out what people in the city think about health and social care services and to work with commissioners and providers to create lasting improvements. The network is hosted by Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS).
The meetings are being held throughout June and have been very well received. The aim is to advise people how they can get involved and influence health and social care in the city.
Kathy Hull, LINk Service Manager, said:"Our aim is to secure the health and social care that the people of Liverpool deserve. These services affect you every time you visit a dentist or your GP, use a hospital or plan care for an elderly relative, and it’s important that we take local views into account when we plan improvements.
"The meetings held so far have provoked some really interesting debates and given us a good idea of what local residents see as priorities. These issues affect us all so don’t miss your chance to have a say!"
