
St George’s Hall will play host to a wide range of learning providers to celebrate the launch of the 20th Annual Adult Learners Week.
The event will be opened at 10am on Saturday 14th May by musician Henry Priestman, formerly of The Christians.
It will continue throughout the day with interactive exhibitions, demonstrations and taster classes.
Taster classes on offer include Zumba, Laughology, First Aid, Comics, Art, Healthy Eating and Languages.
Exhibitions in the Great Hall will provide visitors with a wide range of experiences including a chance to treat themselves to a hand massage, try their hand at jewellery making, test their maths and English skills or contribute to a poem.
There will be guided tours around the beautiful Grade 1 listed building by Steve Binns MBE and BBC Merseyside’s historian Frank Carlyle and some entertainment on the main stage.
There will even be a chance to win one of 5 spot prizes in the prize draw.
Prizes include a signed Everton football, an Anfield stadium & museum tour for 4 people, a pair of Oakley sunglasses, a beautifully hand-crafted piece of Jewellery and a signed Jamie Carragher biography and testimonial programme.
