Helen Lockett, a leading nursing director from Bristol has joined Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust (LCH) to head up the Operations and Nursing Directorate.
As Director of Operations and Executive Nurse for the Trust she will lead the our clinical services service for LCH and play a key part in decisions which impact on patient care.
Helen said: “It’s fantastic to be joining a thriving organisation at such an exciting time, as the service journeys towards being a Community Foundation Trust. The clinical services of LCH have a great reputation and this is something I intend to build on over the coming years. I’m really looking forward to working to improve health in the local community and reduce health inequalities.”
Helen started her career as an Acute Nurse in London, before moving to Bristol and training as a Health Visitor working in some of the city’s most deprived areas. She then moved into management, working as an Operations Manager for community services followed by senior roles including Director of Operations and Director of Nursing and Strategic Development.
Bernie Cuthel, CEO of the Trust said: “Helen has some great experience and I’m really looking forward to working with her closely over the coming months. The nursing service is one of the key elements of our organisation and we were really focused on finding someone who could provide strong leadership for our nursing staff and represent them at board level.”
She added: “Patient dignity and safety is a priority at LCH and in her role as Executive Nurse Helen will ensure patients receive only the best quality of care.”
Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust delivers primary and community health care to the local population. It employs over 3,500 staff, including doctors, nurses, therapists and dentists, to deliver a wide range of community services, both home-based and in over 80 venues across Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley.
