Staff at DogsTrust Merseyside would like a say a heart-felt thank you to Tesco.
The supermarket chain donated 50 heart shaped cushions to help the homeless hounds at the rehoming centre put their paws up in style.
One lucky recipient is a charming 14-year-old Yorkshire Terrier called Bunny.
She is enjoying the luxury of sleeping on a bed of hearts, but would love nothing more than to capture a real heart and live out the ‘good life’ in her new home.
Georgina Lowery, Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre Manager says:
“We’re very grateful to Tesco for this kind donation as it has really helped to provide the dogs with some extra comfort.
"Bunny looks like a little princess on her throne of cushions. She hasn’t had the best start to life - when she arrived as a stray she had cataracts, missing teeth and mammary tumors, but she’s such a sunny character despite her ordeal and has nothing but love and affection for her carers!
"She’s a tiny diva, very active and loves to be with people but would need to be the only pet in the home as she doesn’t like to share the limelight!
"Prospective owners needn’t worry about her being a financial burden as Dogs Trust will cover her medication costs as part of her foster scheme.”
If you think Bunny could hop into your home this Easter please call Dogs Trust Merseyside on 0151 480 0660 or drop into the rehoming centre on Whiston Lane, Huyton, Liverpool, L36 6HP.
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and has a network of 17 Rehoming Centres in the UK and one in Dublin.
The charity cares for over 16,000 stray, unwanted and abandoned dogs each year.
