Hundreds of families from around North Liverpool headed to Anfield Children's Centre in Oakfield for a Family Fun Day courtesy of Sure Start.
The centre, which provides advice and support for parents and carers around the city, saw children between the ages of one and five enjoying a variety of activities including smoothie making, arts and crafts and story time with 'the hungry caterpillar'.
Event Manager Anne-Louise Bouffard-Roupe from SK Events said: “Saturday's event was a great success with more than 300 people in attendance. Our aim was to bring local families together and there was a real sense of community spirit felt by both the children and their parents.”
Attendees were also given insightful cookery demonstrations that included healthy and quick meals for all of the family, invited to take part in fruit painting and asked to plant their own tomato seeds into mini greenhouses.
