Merseyside-based Business Doctors has reported a record period of growth over the last three months, with a 160% increase in final quarter turnover.

The SME business experts, headquartered in Newton-le–Willows and with nine franchises across the UK, put the impressive set of figures down to an increase in consumer confidence and winning the Training and Education Award at the Sefton Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Rod Davies, Director of Business Doctors, said the company has seen upwards of ₤200,000 in new business come in following the recognition from Sefton Chamber.

He added: “We have been very encouraged by the upturn in business experienced at the beginning of this year. There has clearly been an increase in consumer confidence which we all welcome.

“This has lead to businesses beginning to feel a bit more secure and optimistic about the future and more are now in a position to call upon Business Doctors to help them grow their businesses further.

“After our Training and Education Award from the Sefton Chamber of Commerce we saw a flood of new business coming in. In fact within the following month we undertook ₤200,000 in extra new business. We are confident that the majority of that new business was as a direct result of us winning that award.”

Business Doctors provides practical support and advice to small and medium-sized businesses, from strategies for sales and profit growth to people engagement and help with accessing funding and support.

The company was set up by successful businessmen Rod Davies and Matt Levington in 2004 and now has nine franchise branches across the UK, employs 15 people full time and 60 associates and boasts an annual turnover of ₤750,000.

Business Doctors has helped over 200 companies in the North West grow by a figure estimated to be ₤7million over the last six years.

Director Rod Davies said: “Our core business is going great guns and this year we hope to open another 12 franchises across the UK.

“Since we started trading in 2004 we have helped more than 200 companies in the North West grow by a figure we believe to be ₤7million. We take great pride in our work and this is a figure we are extremely proud of.”
