Ryanair has launched a weekly service from Liverpool to Grenoble just in time for the ski season.

The airline is John Lennon Airport's biggest customer and operates routes from Liverpool to top European destinations including Derry, Cork, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife.

The Iris-owned carrier celebrated its new ski routes by releasing 1 million £10 seats on over 500 routes across its European network in January.

The £10 seats were made available for booking on www.ryanair.com until midnight Thursday (24 Dec).

Ryanair’s Maria Macken said: “Ryanair is delighted to kick off the ski season with a weekly direct flight from Liverpool to Grenoble from only £10 one way inclusive of taxes. Why not fly to Grenoble and take advantage of the excellent skiing conditions in Val Thorens or Alpe D’Huez.

"Skiers, snow boarders and snow lovers will be spoilt for choice! Consumers and visitors can beat the recession by choosing Ryanair’s lowest fares and our no fuel surcharge guarantee.

"And before you wrestle through the crowded shops, log onto Ryanair.com to take advantage of our lowest fares and our great gift ideas including Ryanair Christmas gift vouchers and the 2010 Cabin Crew Charity Calendar.”
